leadersforlife provides a comprehensive leadership development solution for health leaders in Canada.  The products and services we offer are designed to address the needs of three distinct clients within the health sector: 

  • Individual Members (Not currently available)
  • Health Organizations
  • Health Regions and Provinces

Health Organizations: 

The importance of developing organization-wide programs for leadership succession planning and development; and to build a culture of quality leadership, is a key strategic imperative for progressive health organizations.  For that reason, leadersforlife has packaged many of its key products and services to support organizations in developing and implementing high-quality leadership on an organization-wide basis.

The kinds of organizations that may benefit from these packaged services include;

  • smaller-scale health employers (i.e. less than 5,000 employees)
  • individual hospital facilities that are not part of a broader health region or network
  • for-profit and not-for profit health and social service providers and agencies
  • foundations dealing with specific health or social conditions
  • independent extended care and elder care facilities.  

In consultation with leadersforlife staff any of these organizations can design a customized package of supports and services relevant to their needs. They do so in the following way: 

DIAGNOSE:  Each organization may participate in a specialized diagnostic process designed to assess its existing capacity and commitment to provide high quality leadership development and succession planning. On the basis of that diagnostic, leadersforlife will recommend a plan of action to assure the infrastructure required to support a vibrant leadership development and succession planning  program for your organization.

IDENTIFY: leadersforlife provides a set of products and services that your organization can use to IDENTIFY those with real leadership potential from among your staff.  leadersforlife consultants will work with your organization to ensure that these tools can be integrated seamlessly into your present practices.

ASSESS: leadersforlife provides a set of products and services that organization can use to help individual candidates, selected through the IDENTIFY process, to then identify their LEADS learning needs and help CONNECT them with the most appropriate learning opportunities to complete their personalized leadership development program. 

CONNECT:  leadersforlife can provide individualized learning programs, and also provides them with the Canadian Health Leadership Network’s resource locator so they can identify ‘for credit’  and ‘not for credit’ LEADS programs offered across Canada.   leadersforlife consultants work with organizations to help them design their own programs (or adapt existing ones) to grow LEADS capabilities.

CREDENTIAL: These individuals will also be eligible for a leadersforlife passport, and a formal CREDENTIAL credit through the Canadian College of Health Services Executives. 

NOTE; All individuals participating in a leadersforlife program through their home organization will automatically become individual leadersforlife members, and will have access to the entire suite of products and services included in the contract.
