Developing the Next Generations of Healthcare Leaders
leadersforlife represents an innovative, integrated, investment in the future of health leadership in Canada. It provides a comprehensive approach to developing leaders that is tailored for the Canadian health sector, including leadership at the whole-system level, at the level of individual health organizations, and for individual leaders themselves.
At the whole-system and health organization levels, leadersforlife is actively involved in developing strategies for effective leadership succession and capacity development. It supports a culture of effective leadership across the entire health sector.
At the front end there is aa evidence-based tool that can help health organizations to DIAGNOSE the capacity of their organization to support effective leadership development. Building on this foundation, leadersforlife can assist organizations to develop organization-wide strategies to build leadership talent. Our suite of products and services then provides leadership development for individual leaders.
As part of this process, leadersforlife and our partners work with healthcare employers to IDENTIFY high-potential leadership candidates to ASSESS their skills, talents, experiences and capacities, and to help CONNECT them to the work experience, life experience, professional development, and academic learning that will help them to go the next steps in their careers. Through our partnership with the Canadian College of Health Service Executives, participants in the leadersforlife community will have the opportunity to earn a formal CREDENTIAL through Canada's only credentialling body for health leaders.
